Is It Just Me, or Are the Lies Getting Bigger and Bolder?

We know they are lying
they know they are lying,
they know we know they are lying,
we know they know we know they are lying,
but they are still lying.
~Alexsandr Solzhenitsyn

I'm finding it remarkable just how overt the government propaganda has become these past twenty months. It's so easy to see through, it's like they aren't even making an effort any more to disguise the lies as truth.

Here are two incidents that illustrate what I'm saying.

Trucker Convoy

In his January 31st address from an undisclosed location, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks of the Trucker Convoy who've just arrived in Ottawa to demand a repeal of the vaccine mandates.

Trudeau left Ottawa for this undisclosed location the moment the trucker convoy arrived into town.  He's not intimidated by them, however, he informed us in a tweet.
I have chosen to not go anywhere near protests that express hateful rhetoric, violence toward fellow citizens and a disrespect not just of science but of the frontline health workers and the 90% of truckers who have been doing the right thing to keep Canadians safe, to put food on our tables.

Social media is littered with on-the-ground footage of the Trucker Convoy. And so we are easily able to juxtapose Trudeau's depiction of the protests with boots on the ground experience.

Let's see what some of that hated and violence toward fellow citizens looks like.

This definitely looks like hateful rhetoric to me!

A YouTuber who goes by “Wheelburner” traveled with the Convoy from Toronto and recorded several videos of his experience. In this video, we see friendly, mellow volunteers in Toronto who have coordinated massive amounts of supplies for the convoy. And women handing out pizzas as well.

"These are all volunteers lined up here," he says in the video.  "They're getting ready, as the convoy pulls out, they are going to hand the drivers anything we need.  I've seen everything here but fuel.  And I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the line there's a fuel truck...
if you need supplies they're giving it to ya."
After traveling with the convoy for a day or so, here is how he describes his impressions of the movement:

This is from me, from what I see, this is how it makes me feel, what's on my heart: what is happening here is not just a trucker event...but what it is about is the mandates. Let's face it, it's about the mandates. We as a nation are just tired. We have been mandated to death. We're not talking about vaxxd people, non-vaxxed people. If you go through this whole convoy....it's a mix of vaxxed, unvaxxed...what it is, is everybody is uniting.

I saw some of the coolest stuff tonight between the French, all the Quebecers that are in, and everything that is going on...and it's just been a peaceful party and a good time. It seems like the whole country has convened here, it's not just the truck divers. And it's just that we have been mandated to death. And everybody has decided this is enough, we have had enough, we're getting together and we're uniting.

People are tired of not being able to go to the movies, to go on vacation unless you're double vaxxed. They're just tired of not being able to go to a restaurant and sit and eat unless you're double vaxxed. They are tired. The country is just tired. The cross border mandate with the truckers was the last straw. Everything else was building up. The mandates for this, the mandates for that.

And here's three hours of footage from YouTuber Viva Frei, walking through Ottawa on Monday. All of it entirely peaceful.

In all these various accounts, and many others I'm not recounting here (as I said, social media is littered with videos) I've seen friendliness, generosity, patriotism, pride, and exuberance. People waving. Men praying the Our Father in a bar together in Ottawa. Nothing that comes close to Trudeau's description of hateful rhetoric, violence, and disrespect toward science.

As Wheelburner says, it's simply that they're over it. All the mandates, I mean.

Trudeau's account is such a bald-faced lie, it feels like someone walking into a corner grocery store in the middle of the day, looking the owner in the eye, and then stealing basketful of groceries and then walking out.

I'm stunned by it.

Ivermectin

And here's another such lie, one that we're all pretty familiar with by now. Maybe you're fatigued with the ivermectin debate, but here is a tweet from the FDA, anyhow:

Again, this overt implication that ivermectin is for horses, not humans, coming from a government agency, is just stunning.

Ivermectin is less harmful than Tylenol. People have been taking it for decades now. As Dr. Pierre Kory said, in his address to the senate in December of 2020:

3.7 billion doses (of ivermectin) have been administered since it was developed in 1987. Over 60% of Sub-Sahara Africa takes it on a yearly basis. It has an unparalleled safety profile with almost no side effects.

Although I'm certainly not excusing the FDA, I'll suggest a probable motive behind this lie. The evidence supporting ivermectin in early treatment is irrefutable. At this point there are dozens of systematic reviews and meta analyses saying it's effective. Yet, once the FDA acknowledges that ivermectin is a viable alternative to the vaccine, then it must rescind its EUA, as on page 3 the EUA states that it can only be issued so long as there isn't any other treatment available.

The FDA is caught between a rock and a hard place: it either acknowledges
the ivermectin studies and rescinds the EUA,
or disregards them, and continues to push the vaccine.

An so, backed into a corner, the FDA has responded with a brute force: “This is how it is. Whether or not it's true doesn't matter.” (A response, I might add, that completely disregards the lifesaving benefits of ivermectin.)

But I mean c'mon! Ivermectin is for horses? Couldn't they do better than that?

What Do They Take Us For?

We're being taken for fools here.

Or is it something else—are they communicating something like: “We’re so powerful, we can lie right into your face and get away with it.”?

These lies remind me of a really brazen crow who doesn't even wait for you to step away from the picnic table before swooping down to steal your hot dog. He just steals it right from your own hand.

9/11, when you think about it, was very much in the same vein: sell the masses on some utterly fantastic narrative that's easily refuted simply through observation and common sense.

But somehow the lies are feeling more commonplace now. It's almost like it's the way they roll.

Does this deception feel more overt to you than it has in the past?

Welcome to the Revolution: Highlights from Defeat the Mandates in DC

So if you are the big tree,
We are the small ax.
Ready to cut you down.
To cut you down.

~Bob Marley

We will not comply
With the institutions
Sick illusions.

~ Jimmy Levy and Hi-Rez

"There are cheap, safe, widely available and effective medicines that can treat this disease.  That information has been suppressed.  They are killing us with censorship and propaganda, manipulating the minds of millions.  Enough with the medical tyranny!  We must live free, or we WILL die!" Dr. Pierre Kory, speaking at the Defeat the Mandates Rally in DC last Sunday.

Well I really, really wanted to attend the Defeat the Mandates Rally in DC last Sunday, but it just wasn't going to happen. So I did the next best thing, which was to watch all 3+ hours of it!

The event began at the Washington Monument, and the crowd processed across the mall to the Lincoln Memorial, carrying signs that read:

We don’t coparent with the government.
Where there is risk there must be choice.
The 70s called. They wanted to know what happened to their ‘Question Authority’ t-shirt.
Stop hating each other because you disagree.
Tuskegee 2.0
Jesus Saves.
Let’s go Brandon.
Let doctors be doctors.
We are the small ax.
My Body My Risk My Choice.
Fuck the NWO.
Liberty requires Jesus. James 1:25

Among many, many more. It sounds like about 30,000 came out; that's the only estimate that I read.  The weather was in the teens.

Before the speeches, Hi-Rez and Jimmy Levy performed three songs, including "Welcome to the Revolution," wearing t-shirts that read "No sheep in my circle."

This protest took place in conjunction with over a hundred anti-mandate rallies in cities throughout the world, including Mexico City, Hong Kong, Honolulu, and Dublin. This DC event had six sponsors and partnerships, including the FLCCC Alliance, Steve Kirsch's Vaccine Safety Research Foundation, and Awaken With JP Sears, who emceed the event.

"The crowd was perhaps the most politically diverse to have ever gathered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial," Daniel Cohen of Mint Press reported.

It's hard to make generalizations about the speakers and participants. On Steve Bannon's Warroom, Dr. Malone said half of those on the dais considered themselves Democrat at one point. I saw MAGA hats in the crowds. The speakers included Muslims, Jews, and Christians. Hip-hop artist Hi-Rez communicated the same message of non-compliance as RFK Jr.

We’re not here to agree with each other, we’re here to function from love. Our event today is not about vaccine, anti-vaxxer, it’s not about Republican, Democrat, it’s not about one side or the other. That is stooping to a level that keeps us divided.

~JP Sears in his opening remarks

Watching Steve Bannon interview Steve Kirsch the morning of the rally was a bit of a mind fuck. Kirsch is a tech millionaire who has made sizable donations to the Democratic party, yet here is locking arms with the biggest Trump supporter of them all.

This diversity is consistent with Dr. Mattias Desmet's explanation of mass formation psychosis:

The group who defies the crowd, who does not go along with the narrative that leads to the mass formation is always very heterogeneous. It comes from all kinds of political backgrounds, all kinds of socio economic status, all kinds of professional backgrounds. It's very hard to define them, to find something that this group has in common.

The speeches at the Lincoln Memorial included the superstar doctors who've been so heroically outspoken these past 20 months, including Pierre Kory, Ryan Cole, Robert Malone and Peter McCullough. People injured by the vaccine spoke as well, followed by Steve Kirsch, RFK, religious leaders, and firefighters. Every speech was GREAT. Here are excerpts from some of my favorites.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

RFK Jr. won the best dressed award, wearing a black wool coat over a suit and tie. He presented his speech entirely from memory, and is the only speaker who didn't speak from the podium. His speech was the longest by far—about fifteen minutes long. As you might expect, he covered the vaccines, particularly problems with the Pfizer vaccine trial. But I found the end of his speech the most powerful. (This begins at minutes 2:47.)

We have witnessed over the past twenty months a coup d'état against democracy; and the controlled demolition of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Starting with the censorship. James Madison, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson all said the same thing: We put freedom of speech in the First Amendment because all of the other rights that we were trying to protect relied on that right. If you give government the license to silence its critics, you have given them the capacity to commit any atrocity they want and to obliterate all the amendments and rights of the Constitution.

As soon as they got rid of freedom of speech they went after freedom of religion. They closed every church in this country for a year, with no regulatory process, no public hearing, no demonstration of science, no scientific citation to show it was going to do any good. They kept the liquor stores open as essential businesses. I remind you that liquor stores are not mentioned in the United States Constitution and Churches are.

They took away our property rights. They closed a million businesses with no due process and no just compensation.

They took away jury trials. The 7th Amendment says: “No American shall be deprived of a right to a trial before the jury of his peers in cases or controversies that exceed $25 in value.” There is nothing else, that's all it says. There's no pandemic exception, there's no war exception, there's no any exception.

We are watching something now that I never believed I would see in my lifetime....what we're seeing today is what I call turnkey totalitarianism.

It's been the ambition of every totalitarian state from the beginning of mankind to control every aspect of behavior, of conduct, of thought and to obliterate dissent. None of them have been able to do it.

Today the mechanisms are being put in place that will make it so none of us can run and none of us can hide. Within five years we're going to see 415K low orbit satellites. Bill Gates says that his 65K satellites alone will be able to look at every square inch of the planet, 24 hours of the day. They're putting in 5G to harvest our data and control our behavior, digital currency that will allow them to punish us from a distance and to cut off our food supply.

Vaccine passports. (the crowd boos) You have a series of rights. As flawed as our government is, you can still go out and go to a bar. You can go to a sporting event, you can get on a bus or an airplane and you can travel...you have certain freedoms. You can get educated, etc.

The minute they hand you that vaccine passport, every right that you have is transformed into a privilege contingent on your obedience to arbitrary government dictates. It will make you a slave!

And what do we do about this? We resist. I'm going to tell you three rules that you all need to know and memorize.

1. Every power that government takes from us, it will never relinquish voluntarily. They tell you: 'We just want you to lock down for two weeks to flatten the curve in the hospital' …even when they give up, close down, they are not relinquishing the power to do it to you again and again. They now have that power and they will never let it go until we make them let it go.

2. Every power they take from us they will ultimately abuse to the maximum extent possible.

3. Nobody in the history of the planet has ever complied their way out of totalitarian control. Every capitulation is a signal to the oppressors to impose new forms of torment or torture or compliance or obedience. Every time you comply, you get weaker. The hill that you're going to die on is the hill that you're on right now.

And they're coming for our children.

It sounds as though he's gone full-blown conspiracy with a few points here, except that what he's saying check out. Bill Gates has in fact invested in satellites to monitor ever square inch of the planet. And come to think of it, we did hand over all our rights twenty months ago—without much of a fight, I might add.

Dr. Tess Lawrie

Until now I'd only heard ABOUT Tess Lawrie, so I was so intrigued to finally hear FROM her. She is the UK doctor who produced the systematic review that found ivermectin effective in early treatment—a royal flush on the evidence based medicine pyramid! (Which unfortunately was ignored by hospitals throughout the US.)

Anyhoo, she seems to be quite a powerhouse on the medical scene and so I was surprised to hear such a sweet and calm voice coming across the screen. She wasn't physically present at the event (and I kind of wondered why she addressed a US crowd—did she also speak live at a protest in England?)

Her delivery was very calm and she used simple language, but I found it powerful.

The process of undermining the human spirit began a very long time ago. Disconnecting us from one another is key to controlling us. And when we forget who we are, when we disconnect from each other, we are easy game. So I remind you again, human beings are courageous and resilient.

Don't forget: What we do we do because we choose to do. We think because we choose to think. What we learn we learn because we choose to learn. And what we are we are because we choose to be.

Nobody should make us do, think, learn, or be anything we do not choose. We are responsible for ourselves because we are free. I am free, you are free. Remember?

It's time to step away from fear, starting today. This is reality. The opportunity for real change has arrived.

We will no longer tolerate interference in our rights and and our choices. We will say, 'No thank you.' We remember what is good for us. There is a better way, and we are creating it together. We will take it from here. We are one.

Her presentation demonstrated that resistance can be docile and sweet, yet still be a force to be reckoned with.

Kyle Warner

It's so hard to listen to people who've been injured from the vaccines. So many have stories of visiting doctor after doctor who refuse to connect the dots between the vaccine and their debilitating injury. Their entire lifestyles are upended from something they were told was safe, and the vaccine companies have zero liability! They're completely ignored by the same agencies who de facto mandated they receive the vaccine.

Here is an excerpt from a speech given by Kyle Warner, a former mountain biker who developed pericarditis from the Pfizer vaccine:

The last year has been rough to say the least...in June of 2021, after being promised that the covid19 vaccines were the tested safe and effective solution to the pandemic, I was seriously injured by my second dose of Pfizer....As a professional athlete, this came out of nowhere. I'd spend the last decade relying on my heart and my body as my primary source of income. I was so used to it always working, exercise was my outlet, racing bikes my job. I took that for granted, and in an instant I went from winning mountain bike races to being completely bedridden. The last seven months have been a revolving door of doctors, hospital and cardiology visits. I've been unable to work and have spent tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket in hope of getting my old life back....I kept being told my injury was extremely rare and drew the short straw.

The team of injured people at React19 saw my story and reached out. They offered me ideas for possible treatment and things that helped ease their pain. They said we currently have over 5K members. I couldn't believe it: how had I not heard about these injuries before getting my shot? How were corporate media and public health officials still insisting that covid 19 vaccines are completely safe and effective if there's thousands of injured Americans in ONE online support group? It made no sense to me.

Warner presented this in good spirits, and oftentimes had a smile on his face, but nevertheless it was heartbreaking to hear. I would be so pissed if I were in his situation.

So that's a sampling from some of my favorites. But it's really hard to pare down the list, there were so many good ones.

The Critics

To no one's surprise, this event was largely smeared and dismissed by the MSM as crazy, unhinged, conspiratorial and dangerous—using pretty abysmal arguments.

They suggested that gathering to exercise First Amendment Rights is extremely dangerous and irresponsible when there's a really bad cold going around. This danger, however, doesn't apply with protests against racial injustice—in those instances alone, gathering together is safe and even laudable.

S.E. Cupp attempted to pan RFK Jr. with this word salad on CNN, but really just embarassed herself:

You can’t deal with the argument on its merits because it’s bonkers. It is also really embarrassing. That's ugly, ignorant stuff....he spends his days posting memes of Bill Gates as Dr. Evil. He's an incredibly educated person and someone who would bring a lot of credibility to a lot of these idiotic conspiracy theories, baseless conspiracy theories from one of America's favorite families. That's ugly, ignorant stuff.

Bring credibility to idiotic conspiracy theories from one of America's favorite families? What does that even mean?

And an editorial from the WA Post entitled “Vaccine Doubters Deserve Answers Not Dangerous Lies” claims that Dr. Malone is “leading his followers on a journey to illness, suffering and possible death.” The article goes on to acknowledge that the vaccines cause injury and death, and that their effectiveness is only temporary.

The ONLY direct criticism both the Post and CNN levied at RFK Jr. had to do with a reference he made to people escaping totalitarianism under the Nazi regime. Neither of them touched the meat of his presentation: the incriminating Pfizer vaccine trial data, in which all-cause mortality was higher in the vaccine group than the placebo group!

Just the Beginning...

It was so encouraging to see the strong turnout and listen diverse, intelligent speeches.

It felt like a significant step in the Great Awakening.

Did you listen to any of the rally speeches? What stood out to you? Have you seen any public protests to the mandates in your community?

The Lottery Has Come to Small Town America

'It isn’t fair, it isn’t right,' Mrs. Hutchinson screamed, and then they were upon her.

~ The Lottery, Shirley Jackson

Advent is being in a dark cell. Then the door opens from the outside, and light comes in.

~ Father Robert McTeigue

All the goings-on in my life have given me fodder to reflect on the state of things this Advent.

My sister came into town two weeks ago, and as women do, particularly at this time of year, we shopped. She tried on pajamas at a spendy boutique. I tried on sweaters, and flummoxed over whether or not to make a purchase.

We attended a local fair, where artists displayed artwork and handcrafts at booths set up inside community halls, a masonic lodge, and one giant yurt. Artisans sold slippers made from recycled clothing, wall hangings of fruit and flowers created from washi tape, nuno felted capes and dresses, and birdbath tile mosaics.

In a photographer's booth, surrounded by enormous images of red and orange poppies that felt very Georgia O'Keeffe-esque, I ran into an old friend. We've known each other for years but I haven't seen her in a while. Maybe even a decade.

She had on a zip-up fleece with a logo of the new Seattle Kraken, which I mistook for the Seahawks. Oh, no, she laughed. She'd given up on the Seahawks for the season. Mostly, anyway. She still had her fingers crossed for their game against the 49ers that weekend. It was the big rivalry with her California-based family.

I asked her how she'd been, and things got a little more dour.

“It's been a rough couple of months,” she told me. “My dad died, and my dog died. He was ten years old. My other dog is on his last legs.”

“Gee--that's rough!” I scrambled as to where to take the conversation from there, and stammered for a bit before settling on a course.

“When did your dad die?”

“Oh, this was a few months ago. It was one of those cases of someone who didn't react well to the vaccine. He was in the hospital right away. He was near family when he passed.....” her voice trailed off.

I told her how sorry I was, she said I needed to come see her since I was in town. And she moved on to another booth, as I continued looking at images of fields of poppies, reproduced onto mousepads, mugs, greeting cards and posters.

But her conversation stayed with me. It felt so natural: we hit the regular beats, said all the right things. She told me about the death of her father with the cadence of everyday small talk--a death caused by a vaccine imposed by de facto mandate; a vaccine the government assures us is perfectly safe.

According to the statistics on VAERS, these sorts of conversations are taking place at craft fairs, school Christmas concerts, and holiday gatherings all across the country.

To date, the reports of adverse events for the covid vaccine include 20,244 deaths, 33,676 permanent disabilities, 10,229 heart attacks, 19,039 incidents of myocarditis, and 106,129 hospitalizations. According to Steve Kirsch's research based on anaphylaxis incidents, these numbers are underreported by a factor of 41.

The evidence is clear. This Advent, interwoven with listening to Handel's Messiah, exchanging tins full of molasses cookies, shortbread, and Russian tea cakes, and shopping for the perfect Christmas tree, people are caring for a son, now permanently injured from the vaccine, a husband who's weakened from a heart attack, and mourning a parent's sudden passing.

The atmosphere of Christmas is usually reflected in joyously silly movies like White Christmas, and heartwarming movies like It's a Wonderful Life, which remind us that actions have far-reaching consequences, and that the individual matters.

There's still the typical parties, with steak, cheese charcuterie boards and spiked eggnog. And once again, we're listening to the fire truck blare Christmas carols through the neighborhood, while sitting at home, stringing popcorn for the Christmas tree and sipping cider mulled in cinnamon and cloves.

But there's a different spice in the air this year. It's not the comforting blend offered in a story like Truman Capote's “A Christmas Memory”, in which he relates a childhood memory of flying kites on Christmas morning with a dear aunt.

It's much sharper. There's an unsettling harshness to it. It's more akin to the horror in Shirley Jackson's short story “The Lottery," in which a small town of 300 or so gathers for its annual ritual of picking numbers from a black box.

Next, the mob descends up on one unlucky individual to stone her to death.

The real shock of the story is the ordinary way in which the monstrous ritual is conducted. Just before the lottery, the men discuss crops and weather, and the women exchange gossip. The lottery is run by the same man who organizes the square dance, the teen club and the Halloween program.

Stoning someone to death is just part of life in this small town in America.

In our blasé acceptance of the suffering brought about by this vaccine, we've embodied Jackson's characters without missing a beat.

“It's just the way things are now,” we're collectively saying. “Decent people get vaccinated, and some of us will die or be seriously injured from it.”

🍃

Earlier that same weekend I attended a funeral Mass and burial for an infant who died when the mother went into labor 22 weeks into her pregnancy.

The would-be first time parents couldn't come close to communicating the devastation and horror of it all, but they told about her water breaking in the middle of the night, the mother spending a week in the hospital hoping and praying she wouldn't go into labor, her contractions a week later, and the two of them watching as their little girl's heart stopped beating during her first few moments in the world.

They held her in the palm of their hands, lovingly touching her tiny fingernails and little feet.

Just two weeks earlier my friend had been telling me about the books she was selecting for their baby shower registry.

And now she's crying like she can't stop. And then crying some more. Sobbing, convulsing, late into the night.

Both parents are vaccinated. The mother speaks of the unvaccinated in the same way she'd talk about poor uneducated trailer trash. And so any correlation between the vaccine and this infant demise would sound to them like a non-sequitur.

Yet, not a few expecting mothers have reported spontaneous abortions following their covid vaccine. The current VAERS number is 3,297.  As I mentioned earlier, these numbers are underreported by a factor of as much as 41, so a more accurate estimate is closer to 135,000.

We'll never know if the vaccine caused this particular infant demise. No one has looked into it, nor will they. But, given the VAERS statistics, it's just as accurate to say there's no way anyone could claim the vaccine couldn't have played a part.

The accurate statement, then, is that the vaccine may very well have caused this mother's water to break at 22 weeks, and the delivery of a baby several weeks premature, who died within minutes.

The priest led us in prayers at the cemetery, talking about the angels who would come to welcome her, and ending with “eternal rest grant unto her and may perpetual light shine upon her.”

Later, he told us that two other young couples from the parish had reported miscarriages that same week.

A few months earlier, this priest, standing before the altar following Mass, pleaded to all of us to take the vaccine. He was praying that we would.

Whoever Has Ears Ought to Hear

My sister and I attended Sunday Mass on her visit. After the priest made the final blessing and we all started to exit, she looked startled.

“What?” she turned to me. “No St. Michael the Archangel prayer? Every Church I've been to these past three years says it. I was expecting it. This is the first church I've been to who hasn't said it.”

I, too, had noticed this phenomenon springing up, of parishioners kneeling and praying the St. Michael the Archangel prayer following the final blessing. During the riots in Portland in 2020, The Archbishop of Portland even instructed parishes in his Archdiocese to pray it following Mass.

The Prayer to St. Michael used to be prayed at the end of the Tridentine Liturgy, and I believe it fell out of practice with the rollout of Novus Ordo in 1969, following Vatican II.

In 1884, Pope Leo XIII wrote the prayer after receiving a vision while standing before the altar following Mass. As the story goes, he fell into a trance and saw Lucifer conversing with Jesus:

“I can destroy your Church, I only need time and power.” Jesus granted him both.

The Pope also saw St. Michael the Archangel casting Lucifer and his legions into hell.

Here is the prayer we now say, much abbreviated from the original version:

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

(It's curious that this passage, from Pope Leo XIII's original transcription, has been removed:

These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered.)

🍃

Recently, I read the first chapters of the Book of Revelation and was struck by the repeated refrain “Whoever has ears ought to hear what the spirit says to the churches.” It's repeated seven times between chapters 2 and 4. The author is speaking to the church of Ephesus, and the six surrounding Churches, many (possibly all) of which Paul established in his second and third missionary journeys.

I am at a point where my eyes cannot roll further back, my disdain could not grow any deeper, my revulsion could not be any stronger at the idiocy and inhumanity I witness over and over and over again at the hands of priests.

Watching a priest propagate the infanticide of children in his parish after celebrating Mass feels like too much to bear.

But I do find it curious to see this prayer creeping back in. It's reassuring. It's as though to say: on a surface level, the Church is clueless. But the Spirit appreciates what we're up against. And has poised the Church for battle.

Wonderful Counselor?

The Advent season of 2021 has been a mind-fuck indeed. (I mean, look at these numbers of injuries from VAER's red-box summaries. Do you see any problem with claiming that the vaccine is safe?)

Watching people passively, and more often aggressively, jump on the vaccine train reminds me of that scene from Trains, Planes and Automobiles, where Steve Martin and John Candy get criss-crossed and start driving on the wrong side of the highway.

When well-intentioned drivers scream out to them “You're going the wrong way!!!”, the pair puts their thumbs to their nose and wiggle their fingers.

“How do they know where we're going?” they hoot.

Then they see two semi-trucks driving straight at them at 70 MPH.

🍃

A few months ago, I prayed, and told Jesus he felt like the sort of friend who's great to have around, but that I couldn't see much more to him that that.

Any notions reflected in Isaiah 9:6, all of that about being a "Prince of Peace" and a "Wonderful Counselor" I just didn't see.

A few nights later I was awoken to the moon, peeking behind a shroud of clouds.

It was beautiful.

And I heard Jesus asking me, rhetorically: “So you don't think that I am powerful?”

🍃

I don't have a lot of hope for the world situation. It's horrific to watch people stubbornly, self-righteously dig their own graves, and so many more casually accept mass suffering.

The hypnosis is so resolute that an epiphany feels like a big ask. Not a few vaccine advocates spit upon anyone who suggests they're driving in the wrong direction.

But perhaps my despair is a matter of perception.

As a Catholic, I know we've inherited a fallen state; the sin of Adam became the sin of us all. But I also know we're better off because of it: “Oh happy fault, or glorious sin of Adam which gained for us so great a redeemer.”

During her dark nights, The Little Flower resorted to making acts of faith. As she recounts in her autobiography:

The fog that surrounds me becomes more dense; it penetrates my soul and smothered it so that I could not picture the sweet image of my Fatherland. When I try to find peace...my torment redoubles. The voice of unbelievers come to mock me, saying 'You are dreaming about the light, about a Fatherland embalmed in the sweetest perfumes; you are dreaming about the eternal possession of the Creator of all these marvels; you believe that one day you will walk out of this fog that surrounds you. Hope on! Hope on! And look forward to death. But it will not give you what you hope for, but a more profound night, the night of annihilation.'

Although I had not the consolation of faith, I forced myself to act as if I had. I have made more acts of faith in the last year than in the whole of my life...I tell Jesus I am ready to shed blood to the last drop to profess my faith in the existence of heaven. 1

No doubt about it, an especially dark night is descending up on us this Advent. It's unlikely we'll experience any consolations in the immediate future that we've been gifted with an Almighty God, a Prince of Peace who will reign forever and ever.

This year, more than ever, trusting in this reality requires act of will. Just like the Little Flower, it requires making acts of faith...possibly more than we've made in the whole of our lives.

Is it Safe? The Experts Wax Poetic About Vaccine, Covid & Mandates

Alarm bells rang across the nation last Thursday, following Biden's address to the nation.  Hillybilly Elegy author and Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance called for mass civil disobedience, sparking the #DoNotComply hashtag to trend on Twitter, governors called parts of the speech unconstitutional, and 22 states plan to sue Biden.

What did Biden say, exactly?  He pitted the vaccinated against the unvaccinated, claimed the vaccines are safe and that mass vaccination is the ONLY solution to the pandemic.  Vaccination is the right thing to do.  Doctors who contradict his narrative are conspiratorial.  He'll sign an executive order mandating the vaccination to all federal workers.  Private businesses with over 100 employees must require vaccinations or weekly testing.  Biden vows to overstep any governors who stand in his way (say WHAT?).  Additionally, he advocates the vaccination of children over 12, and encourages further research for younger kids.

For the vast majority of you who have gotten vaccinated, I understand your anger at those who haven’t gotten vaccinated...We’ve made vaccinations free, safe, and convenient...We've been patient, but our patience is wearing thin.  And your refusal has cost all of us.  This is not about freedom and personal choice.  It's about protecting those around you...The safest thing for your child 12 and older is to get them vaccinated...My plan also takes on elected officials and states that are undermining you and these lifesaving actions.  If these governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as President to get them out of the way.

In breaking down Biden's assertions and mandates, it's abundantly clear these alarm bells are merited.  For a Catholic, the situation calls for civil disobedience.

So let's do just that.  Break Biden down, I mean.

Quack Doctors

It's curious Biden would write off as conspiracy theorists the doctors who challenge his 'get vaccinated, it's perfectly safe' mantra, as they're amongst the finest and most accomplished doctors in the world.

Over a range of criteria, they really take Biden to task.  They include:

Dr. Bhakdi Sucharit

Dr. Sucharit is a medical microbiologist.  He served as the chair of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene at the University of Mainz in Germany for 22 years.  He's taught medical microbiology, virology, immunology, and parasitology for 30 years, and is published in all these disciplines.

‪Dr. Ryan Cole‬

Dr. Ryan Cole is a board certified anatomical and clinical pathologist, trained at the Mayo Clinic, with a sub-specialty in skin pathology.  He's an expert in immunilogy and viology, and one of his board certifications, clinical pathology, involves virology.  He runs full a service laboratory in Idaho and has treated patients for the last 18 years from Florida to California and is licensed in 12 states.

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko

Dr. Zelenko is a board certified family practitioner in Orange County, New York.  His team has treated 6,000 covid patients with covid.  They include President Trump, Rudy Guliani, Yaakov Litzman (the Health Minister of Israel), President Bolsonaro of Brazil.

Dr. Pierre Kory

Dr. Kory is a Pulmonary and Critical Care Doctor, who serves as the president and co-founder of the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance.

Dr. Robert Malone

Dr. Malone is the inventor of mRNA Vaccine technology, and a licensed physician in Maryland.

Dr. Bret Weinstein

Dr. Weinstein is an evolutionary biologist and host of the Dark Horse Podcast.

Steve Kirsch

Steve Kirsch is executive director of the Covid-19 Early Treatment Fund, and a frequent contributor to Trial Site News.

In this iconic scene from Marathon Man, Lawrence Olivier drills into Dustin Hoffman as he grills "is it safe?"

Is it Safe?

This is a line we all need to be stealing from Lawrence Olivier, and repeating like a mantra as we parse through vaccine information and attempt to make sense of it all.

Biden assures us it is.  Let's see if the experts agree.

A Dry Run

The doctors concur that the vaccine is an experiment, at best.  In their own words:

Gene based vaccines have never been used on humans before.  So what we’re witnessing now are human experiments. Experiments.  On.  Humans.  The amazing point—if you want to do animal experiment in the US, you have to file an application for this, you have to put the whole case on paper, pages and pages…then you have a committee who goes through every word and in the end they will say ‘yes’ or ‘no’.  Now what have we seen here?  Experiments on thousands and thousands of humans in the world, that have not gone through ANY examination as to if they may be dangerous to you.  Dr. Bhakdi Sucharit

We call these vaccines, but they clearly are using off the term investigational vaccines.  And we are asking people to be subjects in an experiment on humanity.  This is a large phase 3 trial.  Dr. Ryan Cole

Everyone who is getting these vaccines is part of an experiment that we are running—that is actually wildly over-generous to say because for it to be an experiment, we would have to systematically collect data on what happened to them, and in fact our systematic system isn’t so systematic….it’s voluntary reporting with stigma attached.  Dr. Bret Weinstein

There haven’t been any mRNA vaccines in other creatures.  We are the first creatures that it’s been tried to.  Dr. Malone, inventor of the mRNA vaccine

In conclusion?  By the very definition of "experiment", we cannot know at the onset if the vaccines are safe.  That's the discovery we're about to make.  Now where did Biden clarify this in his speech?

When Will We Know if it's Safe?

As Dr. Weinstein pointed out, the rollout of this experimental vaccine in no way follows the protocol of scientific method.  So, in a sense, the real answer is: NEVER!!!

However, the doctors have commented on the effects they're currently seeing, and long-term effects it's feasible they may see.

We do not know the long-term side effects.  We usually don’t see those for 2, 3, 4, 5 years.

As a hardcore scientist, I’m not political, I look at data, and when I look at data, I’m already seeing the adverse affects to these shots in a laboratory setting....I'm seeing an uptick of herpes family virus, shingles, mono, a huge uptick in human papilloma virus.  What it tells me is that the immune status of these individuals who got the shot is weakened.  We’re seeing a 200x increase in young men in inflammation of the heart above the baseline; what we’d see in North America.  Once your heart is damaged, it’s damaged for a lifetime.  Your heart cells don’t grow back.  Dr. Ryan Cole

Reproductive risks don't always manifest in the first generation.  I don't mean to scare, but I do mean to speak honestly and with integrity.  The honest position is: if you were to ask me: 'do you know what the reproductive consequences are?'  I have to tell you; 'No I don't because we don't have the data.'

And if you then asked me; 'Have there been any examples in the past of reproductive effects of agents in female's reproductive tissue that were not anticipated by the animal model testing?'  I would have to say  'Yes, there is'.  Doctor Malone

The D-word

And what about the D-word that the White House has been mute on? And that Biden glossed over when he informed the nation that the vaccines were perfectly safe?  How many people have actually died from the vaccine?

According to VAERS; Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System, at the publication of this blog post, over 14,506 people have died from the vaccine!

In this excellent video, Steve Kirsch points out that VAERS compiles its data from voluntary reports, so the actual number of deaths is much higher.  And that normally a trial vaccine is immediately STOPPED after 250 deaths!

Wow.  This perfectly safe vaccine has actually caused so many deaths that it should trigger a STOP per standard vaccine protocols.

I guess what Biden meant to say is, outside of the 14,506 who have died from the vaccine at the time of his speech (a conservative number), and those who are and will be experiencing adverse effects, it's perfectly safe.

The ONLY Solution?  Really?!?

Biden emphatically claims that the vaccine is the only real solution to ending the pandemic.  The doctors, armed with scientific studies and boots-on-the ground experience, do not concur.

Dr. Perry spoke eloquently before the Senate in December of 2020, pleading for the use of ivermectin for prophylactic and early covid treatment.

I am speaking on behalf of the organization that I am part of. We are a group of some of the most highly published physicians in the world.  We have 2,000 peer reviewed publications among us.

There is a drug that is proving to be of miraculous impact. That is based on mountains of data that have emerged in the last three months.

How can we tell when something is working?  There is only one answer to that: one of the central tenants of science, you need a control group.  You need a group comprobable to those you treat, and those you don’t treat.  We now have 11 randomized controlled trials.  Every one one of those trials shows in the ivermectin treated group, lives are saved, there is less need for hospitalization, less case counts.  We have the data.

Ivermectin should be the standard of care for this based on these data.  3.7 billion doses have been administered since it was developed since 1987, over 60% of sub-Sahara Africa takes it on a yearly basis.  It has an unparalleled safety profile with almost no side effects….You cannot come up with a credible argument to not use it.

Dr. Ryan Cole corroborates:

Some of these earliest treatment medications are the safest medicines on the plant.  One of them has been around what, four decades?  The other almost seven decades...and we have foolish physicians saying, 'oh, I need a placebo trial' and really it’s: 'look: it’s a sugar pill if it doesn’t work, a lifesaver if it does.'  And we're ignoring real science because out of 19,000 patients and studies on ivermectin and 26, 29 randomized controlled trials, there is a one in four quadrillion chance that this medication does not have an effect in improving the outcomes in Sars covid-2. ‬

Dr. Zelenko, at the beginning of the outbreak, treated thousands of patients in Orange County, NY.  In this video, at the beginning of the outbreak (March 2020) he had this to say:

I'm seeing a tremendous outbreak in this community.  My estimates are more than 60% currently have covid.  I have been treating them with hydroxychlorquine, the other with the vitamin zinc in the pre-hospital setting.  The idea is to keep them from the hospital because we are running low on respirators.  I'm seeing tremendous positive results, I have not sent any patients to the hospital yet, even through I have treated hundreds already.

How Bizarre

It beggars belief that with so much expertise, data and scientific studies, Biden would really claim that an experimental vaccine is the only solution to ending the pandemic.

Dr. Bret Weinstein highlights this suspicious behavior:

Our policy is, despite all the data, if you come into my hospital and you’ve got all the signs and symptoms and a PCR diagnosis, the ER tells you, 'I’m sorry, Mrs. Smith…..you need to go home and incubate'….without giving you a drug that would undoubtedly make you better.  We are behaving in a way that propagates the pandemic.  The behavior is bizarre.

Perhaps concealing this solution in plain sight gets at something Doctor Cole said (he is referencing page 3 of the FDA's Emergency Use Authorization for Vaccines to Prevent Covid-19):

‪ If there were a treatment for this virus, they cannot have authorization for these vaccines.  Period.

Was the vaccine where they wanted to get us to all along?

KIDS?!?

Biden's telling us to get our twelve-year-olds vaccinated, and encouraging research into vaccinating younger children.  The doctors, on the other hand, unequivocally, emphatically, vehemently stressed the pointlessness and danger of dispensing this vaccine to children.

Regarding children: the only reason you would treat a child is if you believe in child sacrifice.  Otherwise, there is no necessity.  Anytime you evaluate any therapeutic, you need to look at it from 3 perspectives: it is safe, does it work, and do you need it?  There has to be a medical necessity.  You look at the CCD, the statistics for children under the age of 18, there is a 99.9% survival rate with no treatment.....if you have a demographic that has no risk of dying, why would you inject them with a poison death shot?  Dr. Zelenko

‪Don’t let your child near these shots.  Again, we don’t know long-term effects: auto-immune, cancer, fertility.  Any university that is mandating these for their children, that is criminal.  These young healthy individuals are at no risk for death for this virus. ‬ Dr. Ryan Cole

If there’s more risk, then the people who get no benefit really shouldn’t be involved.  Kids should not take it, because they are fairly well protected against covid.  Dr. Weinstein

Given that it's experimental, we don't know the effects, and it's totally unnecessary, it's really so, so sick that Biden would advocate children receive this vaccine--even those under the age of 11!

It's Just the Right Thing To Do

Biden says the vaccine is so fundamental to being a decent human being that the vaccinated are entirely justified targeting righteous anger at the unvaccinated.

The doctors say contraire mon frère.  And that in fact, it's unethical at best to mandate an experimental vaccine without knowing and disclosing the full risks.

In their own words:

There are three fundamental principles in Western bioethics: full and complete disclosure of risks, enduring comprehension of risks of those who will be taking the product, and willing consent.  Dr. Malone

‪We need to be hyper cautious about what we’re doing...to coerce someone into an experiment in order to keep gainful employment...it’s a violation of all medical ethics.  This is pure malfeasance.  It’s immunologically illogical to do something of this sort...we’re doing something that’s anti-science. ‬ Dr. Ryan Cole

Wake up.  This is WWIII.  This is a level of malevolence or malfeasance that we have not seen probably in the history of humanity.  There is zero justification for using this death shot. Dr. Zelenko

A Catholic Response

Is the vaccine really safe, the exclusive solution to the pandemic, and the upright thing to do?  The analysis provided by these doctors make Biden's claims flat and unconvincing at best.

How does a Catholic respond?

With respect to human experimentation, the Catechism states:

Experimentation on human beings is not morally legitimate if it exposes the subject's life...to avoidable risks. Experimentation on human beings does not conform to the dignity of the person if it takes place without the informed consent of the subject.  (2295)

On the current US stage, many are taking the experimental vaccine simply to keep their job.  That's coercion, not consent.  Additionally, as the doctors have made clear: we cannot be entirely informed of the dangers because the dangers are not yet known, nor are they being systematically or scientifically studied.  However, we do know from the VAERS database that one possible side effect of the vaccine is death.

Per the catechism, then, this experimental vaccine isn't morally legitimate.

The Catechism further states:

The citizen is obliged in conscience not to follow the directives of civil authorities when they are contrary to the demands of the moral order, to the fundamental rights of persons or the teaching of the Gospel.  Refusing obedience to civil authorities, when their demands are contrary to those of an upright conscience, finds its justification in the distinction between serving God and serving the political community.  (2242)

Given that the vaccine isn't morally legitimate, a Catholic is entirely justified—no, really obligated—to oppose  civil authorities with respect to the vaccine and vaccine mandates.  It's entirely opposed to the dignity we possess as children made in the likeness and image of God.

What form will this civil disobedience take?  It remains to be seen, but we're certainly witnessing a strong initial response.

And You?

What is your experience with the vaccine?  Are you comfortable with being the subject in medical experiment?

Fed Up With Vaccine Bullies? Here's How I Took the Heat

Two days ago, quite out of the blue, while bicycling to return a wallet someone had dropped on the side of the road, I was bludgeoned across the head with a 2x4—in the form of a 1,000 word (yes, it really was that long) text from my sister.

The message included phrases like “shame on you, you need to get the vaccine.  You’re a conspiracy theorist, and that’s why you’re not getting the vaccine.  And of course my telling you to take it won’t get you to take it because you’re so stupid.”

This text came as a total non-sequitur; our last conversation was maybe six months ago.  She and I NEVER talk.  Nor have I discussed with anyone in my family my position on the vaccine.  So I’m not entirely certain what triggered her.  Nor can I fathom how she "knows" why I'm not getting the vaccine. —Without concluding the woman thinks she can read minds.

And she’s accusing ME of being irrational.

Conflict Resolved

I am rather proud of the way I handled it.  Although I was hurt and triggered, I simply said that my tolerance for abusive language was nonexistent, that I didn’t want her unsolicited advice, and that if she didn’t apologize we’d be parting ways for the next decade or so.

And by the next day, I had her on her knees, acknowledging how totally bizarre and inappropriate her text really was.  However, even in her apology, she continued to say that I “really needed” to get the vaccine!

Lost in the Sauce

After mulling on it, what struck me most about my sister is how totally asocial and borderline her behavior was: ad hominem attacks and parsing out unsolicited advice even when explicitly asked her not to.  Plus, the text came totally out of the blue.

Perhaps this is simply another case of the deranged, tolerant liberal: the person who's love for all of humanity informs all of her political beliefs, and who fumes with hatred at the billions who don't align with her tolerant view points.

But this feels an entirely new beast.  The fury is almost palpable.  Like I said, the text felt like a physical attack.

This woman certainly isn’t alone.  Just the other day, a friend more civilly informed me that the “vaccine isn’t just about me”, and that “I’d better hope that I don’t get in a car accident” (because the hospitals are full as it is, and it’s in part my own fault).

And at a bbq earlier this summer, I met another woman who said she had zero tolerance for all the selfish people who weren't getting the vaccine.

If in my paltry social life I've come across three of these people, then certainly she represent a massive SWATH caught up in some group-think that wants 100% adherence to what THEY want, and who’ve demonized people who aren’t conforming.

In this instance, they're unequivocally convinced that the vaccine is the RIGHT thing to do.  What will it be next?

And I recalled an article from almost a year ago by CJ Hopkins, “The Covidian Cult":

So many people—people who are able to easily recognize totalitarianism in cults and foreign countries—cannot perceive the totalitarianism that is taking shape right now, right in front of their faces (or, rather, right inside their minds)….what we are up against is not a misunderstanding or a rational argument over scientific facts.  It is a fanatical ideological movement.  A global totalitarian movement…the first of its kind in human history.

Slippery Slope

The situation really is quite scary, as it’s clear this totalitarian movement would gladly do whatever it takes to get the rest of us in line.  As they see it, anyone not taking the vaccine is a serial killer on the loose.  And so coercion and force are entirely justified.

In his interview on August 11th, Sean Stone made the point:

This is an apartheid state that is being rolled out...it's based on your medical situation...There is no end to this, once you open that door and say, 'yes, the government has the right to tell me what to put in my body.'  So, next year it's going to be the next round of boosters."

And he poses a possible solution:

Rather than fighting the system, why don't we create our own system?

“Pacts” of Three

This onslaught from my sister served as an epiphany for what we are up against in this coming decade or so.

And I'm definitely not the only one taking the heat!  Neither of my unvaccinated friend's daughters will allow him into their homes, even when he travelled halfway across the world to see them.  Another friend, an RN, received an e-mail yesterday saying he'll have to go on unpaid leave since he refuses to take the vaccine.  (This friend has been nursing a 36-year-old formerly healthy man, who's now completely paralyzed, all his muscles flaccid, after receiving the vaccine.  --Yet he's being fired for refusing to take it!)

This contingent, rife with asocial behavior, also has the MSM and, in large part, the federal government on its side.

The attacks carry some weight, then, and will not let up any time soon.  Rather, they're more likely a harbinger for an enormous storm brewing, as we’ll likely be “mandated” to get boosters and entirely new vaccines.  And we'll experience similar attacks in other realms; after the Illumination, for example, the media will attempt to gaslight, shame, and hypnotize us to write it off as nonsense.

This time, I faced this attack ALONE.  I do know people who are not getting the vaccine, but we aren’t exactly supporting each other in this decision.  (Is it something that people like to keep on the down-low, as so many did with their support for President Trump?)

And so I'll, too, pose a solution.  Ecclesiastes 4:12 says:

Where a lone man can be overcome, two together can resist.  A three-ply cord is not easily broken.

As a means to find support and solidarity, then, in this decision to not take the vaccine, my objective for this next year is to find two other people who I know in real life (Twitter friends don’t count!) who also are not taking it.  And to form a bond with these two other people; to even let them know that I count on them for solidarity.

What About You?

And how about you?  Have you experienced bullying, shaming, or coercion with respect to not taking the vaccine?  How do you respond?
